Celebration:
"The glory of God is man fully alive" (attributed to St. Irenaeus of the 2nd century). I can only be fully alive to honestly celebrate the blessing and workings of God when I am abiding in Him, being led by His Spirit, and growing to want what He wants.

Happiness is a choice, often seems to be self centered, and shows up when circumstances work out for me. Joy comes from God, is independent of circumstances, and shows up when I am in fellowship with God and help others or observe how they are helped or blessed by Him.

BLOG PURPOSE/RULES

Brothers: It has been observed that there are some good kernels of wisdom coming out of our small group discussions each week. Since we normally do not have opportunity to learn from small groups outside our own, some valuable truths could remain unknown to others who might benefit from them. This blog is offered as an experiment to bridge the gap between groups and is intended to encourage further spiritual growth and development of Christlike character in all Journeymen. Please engage and observe the following rules when doing so: 1) Please do not post about politics, sports, or current events unless directly related to the subject matter 2) Be courteous, succinct, and relevant to the Measures of a Man 3) Do share your thoughts, your wisdom, your experiences and applications, your strategies, and scripture references about the importance of the Measures or Disciplines and what you have learned 4) Please do not post names, places, or dates unless given permission by those involved in the story. General accounts are often sufficient to convey the message.
